Angry Bad weather - Oh my Civic!

I can't believe it! Got woken this morning about 5.20am with the biggest gust of wind I had heard in a longtime, followed my a rumbling on the roof, a mity crash and a car alarm going off. Looked out the window only to find it was my civic!

A corner tile had slid off our roof and landed on my glassroof, denting and cracking it as well as cracking the windscreen. I also have damaged 'A' frame above passenager door with the bare bodywork showing (flaking paint) and damaged passenager door where other tiles followed the big one from the roof.

Just waiting for my insurance to come out and assess the damage....

I took some photos this morning before leaving for work and will post them later when I get home......I was only reading a thread last night about someone here advising us to more cars into a garage or away from houses. You never think it would happen to you....but it does.

Keep your spaceships save......

ouch!! glad I garage mine. Although the garage does have a lot of worryingly heavy stuff that could fall from a great height onto my S.Ship

I really feel for you dd.
Not going to say -"It could be worse", but at least it seems to be contained to the glass. The red panel adjacent to the glass roof, is "blow in" able though. How bad is the door.

Deliberately parked this morning at work next to a tree hoping my car would get written off and then I could finally replace my black lemon!!
But it happened to someone else instead......

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that.

Ever since my friend made a joke of tiles falling on my car last month, I've been keeping my distance. Never thought these things would happen. Unlucky, hope you get it sorted soon.

A family member of mine had the same thing happen, a neighbours roof tile fall off onto her KA... insurers wouldn't pay as it was "an act of god"! Hope the spaceship gets better soon!

Act of God - splendid Then the insurance companies must be the devil's offspring Oh and if they can prove it let the church pay for it (but which?)

I trade my C-Max in for a Type R on Saturday. There is so much crap flying around from a skip down the road I am getting paranoid that something is going to fly off and hit it and scupper the deal.

Feel for you mate best of luck.

Just spoken with the Accident Repair centre today and the cost of repair has been estimated at £3K and work should start at the weekend....when they come and low-load the car and drop of a curtsey....
