My allocated parking space at work used to be next to the pupils playground
The person responsible for organising parking spaces was not very pleased and couldn't understand why it was a problem as the pupils are only allowed to have footballs or tennis balls!! My 'punishment' for caring so much about my car was a space a long way away and now i have to avoid the "Chelsea Tractors" belonging to the parents doing the school run. Life's hard when you love your car! |

Another couple of other parking tips to help avoid dented doors:
If it is windy, park pointing into the wind and in a location where other drivers parking beside you are likely to do the same. This minimises the risk of a door being caught in the wind Park pointing up hill, where other drivers parking beside you are likely to do the same. This means the weight of the car door naturally closes it rather than opening it. |

I try to find 'end' spaces so that you can only have another car parked one side. 50% is sometimes the best you can do.
But everything else mentioned.. er.. yes, yes and yes ! You are not alone. |

I have rules:
No parking next to work vans! No parking next to ***** in Jags or BMWs or Mercs who can't park between the lines No parking next to people who I see pull into spaces and they struggle - they're just gonna clip you with the wing on the way out! |

No Laughing please
I am totally the same, look for somewhere to park where no one can or should hit you.
Thankfully not my civic but did have my first new car, Parked in open space at Tesco's. got back to car, still no-one next to me, GREAT. Packed shopping, jumped into car. started engine, reversed .......... CRUNCH. |

Car park dings are so annoying, all through other people just not taking a bit of care. I had my first ding the other week, after about 10 months of owning the car. Was small but quite 'sharp' from the angle in the other car's door I guess. Had it mended by a Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) company called 'Dent Inc' - here are before and after pics....
I didn't pay the lowest price, since I was told that not all PDR outfits are that good at it! I'm very pleased with the result. |

That looks a neat job - did it cost much?
It really annoys me when people dent your car like this - I wouldn't dream of doing that to someone elses car. |

Typical price seems to be about Ģ65.00 - I paid about Ģ20 more than that to be sure of a good job. Certainly wouldn't want to have to do this very often!! The repair is perfect, you just can't see any evidence of the dent at all.
