Radio 1. Beats the local "Cool FM", which isn't.

CD's most of time, otherwise BBC Radio 1, or local radio, Wyvern FM (Worcestershire & Herefordshire)...

I just listen to MP3 CD's cause the sound quality is a lot better compared to radio stations

Audiobooks on CD. I usually WMA them to avoid changing the CDs.

Snippets of any station transmitting RDS traffic information, as they rarely switch of the RDS flag immediately after a traffic transmission

Occasionally Radio 4

I agree with your 'snippets' comment, why do we have to hear the annoying banter of the traffic reporter and DJ mins before and after the traffic info? And don't they know where the 'OFF' switch is once the info has been sent? If it's an advertising ploy to get you to listen to their station it's failing as it's so annoying.

Back to topic radio 2 (when signal does not fade) radio 4 and Classic FM (showing my age here).

Other than 'Radio 5 Live', does Medium Wave and Long Wave get a look on or is it mainly FM?

BBC Radio Leeds
Radio 2
Classic FM

More likely to have Bowie, Blink 182 or Queen blasting out on volume level 20 though.

This is a constant source of argument in ours. Pottsy likes Radio 2 and I prefer Radio 1 (or Galaxy when I get to return to Lincolnshire). So, we stick to the MP3 player (another source of arguments). Also the Little Un to consider, he likes Disney at the mo. In summary - when we're together, silence is the best option. At least we always know which one of us has driven it last.
