Aren't sports cars good? - Page 4

Why a VX220, awful looking car and a rather boring engine from what I've heard (far too Americanised for me), Q cars are what is called for, ordinary looking cars that are animals underneath (Like a Vauxhal/lotus Carlton).

Sports car for me, the only ones I would even consider are:

> The original (and still by far the best) E30 M3, none of the other come close IMHO
> 'Rocket'
> Grinall Scorpion
> AC Cobra (but thats because I have a death Wish)
> Pretty much all TVR's I love them, but you've got to be a paid up member of EXIT to drive one.

VX is definately a Marmite car - personally I love the looks, they remind me of the pictures I used to draw as a kid when 'designing' (

) a sports car

as to Q cars - I had one (well as close as I could get at the time...)

Masda 323F 1.8GTi - flip up lights version

according to the specs, 140bhp, 0-60 8.2s top speed 120 (sound familiar?

but one fine and sunny day on an unrestrcited road, the speedo showed 135...

SUCH a sleeper!
Looked like a bog standard 5 door family car, but blimey it could shift!

I love the VX, stunning car but would kill you in the wet funnily enough just like the car it was based on

I know someone who has just sold his yellow VX220 and his Golf TDi and got himself a 325ci BMW..........The VX220 wasn't pratical with a baby lol!!!

Btw are we still talking 2 seaters as being sports cars (as defined)
