Dashboard Colour Question ??
Does anybody know if you can change the colour of the dashboard lighting for night time driving ???
I understand you can change the map colours on the SAT NAV but not sure if you can also alter the colours of the lighting behind the dash. I saw a picture on here of a guy who shows the dashboard at night i think it was to show the blue effect of the little blue light in the roof but it looks like the dash buttons are white and the steering wheel buttons are green. Anyone know for sure ??? |

Not heard of this, but i'm sure that there will be someone willing to take their car to bits and change the lighting to suit their taste

The pic you mention was posted by Pottsy (surprisingly
As a side effect of that, it also showed all the buttons in a much brighter white than 'normal'. When driving at night, under any sort of street lighting at all, you cab barely make of the white-ness. At when it's pitch black where you could see it, you are probably concentrating too much on where you're going to look at the buttons anyway The only colour change you could realistically do (short of finding and changing lots of LEDs anyway), whould potentially be to drop an R dash (red) into a non-R Civic (blue). |

Thanks for the feedback TTDegs. That would explain the picture i saw.
I am taking delivery of my Black Type S GT with SAT-NAV in a few weeks and want to find out as much as i can before i get the car so i can be out driving it rather than sitting reading the enormous manual i saw in the glovebox in the showroom !!!. I prefer the blue dash anyway but i had to ask if it was a feature as it would not surpise me if it was it seems to do everything else |
