Think again, open roads are rarely empty, prats come the other way, especially young berks (usually in GTI's)...... in fast cars, thinking the road aheads clear

I've seen plenty of people my age driving round like nutters, but is it really worth it?!
Imagine it this way, you've just passed your test and are driving on your own. You arent used to a lot of new things on the road that you've never encountered before. Now lets say you accidently hit someone, not saying you would, but its a possibility right, well you could either kill yourself or you could kill the other person and have that on your concience. P.S Tom, is aminalia really a word? Never heard it before Last edited by aslz78; 1st April 2008 at 15:11. |

I agree, whole heartedly, when I first started driving I had to drive thrpugh Sevenoaks town centre, not fun at the best of times, this was mid afternoon, havng just got off school, early, (no afternoon lessons Another tale, friend of my fathers, his mother, very religious lady of Caribbean origin, church every sunday, real upright citizen, never sped, always drove properly by all accounts....... passing a school one afternoon kid ran out in front of her from between two cars, she hit him, even though she tried to brake, and killed him outright..... wrong place wrong time.. she hasn't driven since, thats got to be coming up 6-7 years (?). I've grown up seeing what happens to young (i'm talking 17 to 25ish here) and some older folk who think they can drive on country roads and seeing a mangled wreck on the back of a transporter on a Sunday morning is a stark warning to anyone! Needless to say everytime i've seen a vehical in this state at least one of the occupants have died |

No, but I donīt see the danger in revving over 3000 rpm in the right situation.
Inexperienced younger drivers are overrepresented in accident statistics, but that does not have to mean that Iluvtobereved is a reckless driver. |

When children say things like; "Im just going to accelerate very fast" that spells danger in my book "Im not the best driver or the worst driver" No at the moment he is a learner driver which means he is inexperienced. A Type R for his 21st - such a shame I always think you appreciate things in life so much more when you actually have to work for them !! |
