Chilled Glove Box Question?

Had my brand new 2.2SE delivered today but its been sitting in the work car park all day (be glad to take it for a run tonight)

I understand it has a chilled glovebox, does this stay chilled all the time, even while the engine isn't running? How does it turn on and off?

I promise I will read the manual tonight in bed

There's a feed in the box from the air-con. You can close it manually. It only chills whilst the air-con is on.

It basically has a vent from the normal in-car heating/cooling system. It can be opened or closed manually.
In the summer with the air condintioning on, it gets nice and chilly in there, ideal for sarnies or drinks. In the winter, when the heaters are used, it'll warm the glove box!

Small circular vent in the top right corner, ytou can open it as little or as much as you want to let either hot or cold air in depending on what your air con is set at

Don't leave the vent in the glovebox open, when you have hot air going in the car or it will crisp your car manual.

If your front seat passenger pulls their seat right back they can put their feet in there = cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter
