VIN Plate

Hi

I was in my local Honda dealer yesterday looking at a Civic and in particular for the VIN number, which I understand is on the top of the dash and can be seen from outside the car. As I could not see it can someone tell me just were abouts it is on the dash. I only want to know as I'm picking up my new car on Wednesday

and I want to make sure it,s an 08 model and not old stock.

Behind the windscreen, at the bottom (lower than the wipers), close to where the plastic starts.

Mine is on the driver side of an LHD car, so look on the passenger side on a UK car.

Try to do it before you collect the car, if theres anything untoward and its been registered already, it can cause umpteen problems. Especially if you didnt ask specifically for an 08my.
