M colours on anything other than an actual M car are actually special orders from BMW and are called individual. They also cost an arm and a leg! You can also order any exterior and exterior parts you want at a premium too! BMW are a company who will do anything you want as long as you've got the money to pay for it.

I looked at buying this about 2 years ago. Cost from Ocean in Cornwall was £20,000. Guy who had owned it before had spent a mint on it making it look like an M3 with the mirrors and interior but at least had the savvy to keep the 330ci badge on it.

It doesn't really matter if you leave the 318 bit on it or not. If you stumble across someone who knows cars then your just going to look like a tit!

There is a blonde woman in Edinburgh with a 318 se convertible (which the 318 has been removed) and she has the M sticker on the back. I actually laughed and said what sad f'ker drives that thing. If your going to pretend its an M at least buy an M sport for starters. Then realised it was the daft blonde sitting next to me ha ha!

My mates find it funny when I pick up on things like this and my Mum thinks it will land me in trouble one day, but if these people are sad enough to do this then they deserve to be laughed at and out loud in public. At least I won't be sold something its not, unlike the guy at my work.

In a BMW dealership at 7.50am ha ha! And it wasn't a conversation. Just a statement to let her know I thought she was a clown....and not a clever one at that. I may have mentioned something about how it didn't suprise me it was a dumb dyed blonde that drove it
