Towing another car.

My son has broken down about 20 miles from home and requires a tow.

I dont have my car with me at work today, what I was wondering is does the Civ have a towpoint at the rear for using a rope with?

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Theres like a loop bit under the rear bumper if you look. I think thats what its for.

Careful....are these hooks designed for just strapping down the car whilst on a transporter rather than towing another (possibly heavy) vehicle?

It's quite a substantial towing eye under the centre rear bumper.

If you need to be towed in your Civic then there is a special towing eye in the cars emergency kit which screws into the front bumper, after removing a cover, by using the wheel brace as a lever.

THEY DO WARN ABOUT THE DANGERS OF TOWING BY THIS METHOD THOUGH!!

Can see that I will have to take it easy, will be using a rigid towbar which
reduces the whip effect and should ease things a tad...
