Mind the doors
Don't throw that old packing away...put it to good use.
I used some packing to protect my doors when opening them in the garage. I cut it to size and used building adhesive to stick it to the walls, for front and rear doors. |

My garage has a block of foam glued to the wall where you open the drivers door and a big sheet on the back wall (just in case) it was already there when I brought the house

I had the rubber ball hanging from the garage ceiling, when our kid was young.
She and her friends decided to play tennis with it, when playing in the garage as it was raining. They wacked it so hard, it came off the ceiling fixing, straight out the open garage door and dented my new car on the drive. Didn't have smart repair guys in those days. |

71% of motorists have a garage
41% use the garage to park the car From RAC! I have a couple of wooden boards lining my garage. However, I still have to slide the seat fully back to get out of the 3 door FN2! I also have the obligatory tennis ball hanging from the roof! My garage only just fits the car (I have to fold the mirrors in to fit through the door!) I am the only person on the street who uses the garage for a car. I wonder if the others have told their insurance they use a garage? Hope not, because if they ever have a car stolen their excess will be huge! |

My wife drives her car in forwards and I fixed two short lengths of garage door threshold rubber sealer strip to the floor that she butts the front wheels up to, so she knows she's in far enough so the back of her car clears the garage door coming down (I fixed some wall protector her side as well).
I reverse in and as soon as the continuous beep sounds then I know I'm in far enough to clear the door and leave enough space at the rear to get to my wine rack and the garden loungers (it's all go this retirement lark this weather!! - eat your hearts out you workers!!). |

My cunning plan is to burn my drawing board on the lawn, in two years time allan.
If "Er Indoors" can keep her hands off the plastic cards that is. |

Apart from it costing £25 more, I don't think my Dad would approve of me moving the M3 out of the garage and onto the drive for my CTR! But there is a myth that parking in the garage makes insurance cheaper and thats not always the case but people just don't check. |
