Therefore his parents would be responsible. And if the law says they are not, then I'm pretty sure he could be forced to sell his 'assets' (his x-box, mobile phone, ipod and Reeboks) to pay you back.

Unless you try, you'll never know. And at least you'll cause him some hassle. Talk to a Citizen Advice Bureau and check into the small claims courts - they are either free or cheap.

What Kids wear Reeboks? You mean Nikes lol! And they would be manky anyways.

Only problem when you take them to court they pay up at whatever they can afford per week so they could ask to pay it back a £1 a week. Nonsense really!

I have big feet for a girl, size 10! And if you ask for anything bigger than an 8 in ladies shoes and trainers in Scotland they look at you as if your talking a foreign language. Guys trainers are a bit dull at the moment so I have custom designed trainers made for me by Nike. Cost the same as the ones in the shops and their a one off design as I have weird taste and they fit perfectly.

So I dont have too much choice when it comes to footwear

Fully Tanked Up!

Sorry the Village Idiot singled you out, but they sometimes bite off more than they can chew - so to speak.
A readers letter in our local press during the recent fuel famine. A caravan owner said that some yob tried to siphon fuel out of the caravan with a piece of hose.
UNFORTUNATELY, the poor sod shoved his hose into the sewage tank by mistake, the evidence being the hose and the contents of his stomach left behind. There is probably now a shortage of Mouthwash somewhere in that vicinity. Mint just won't cut it I fear! Police are looking for someone with very bad breath who spits constantly.

Eddie.

As bad as it is, you could be the poor sod who had his car trashed last night by Yobs in Manchester and then had it shown on national TV (and I bet they'll still not get the guys who did it). I will not call them fans or supporters as true fans and supporters would not behave in this way. I am absolutely appalled!

Just goes to show you people have no respect for other people of their property!

I'd have been on my roof with a rifle in Manchester, like Dawn of the dead, there would have been 40 foot clear around my car BTW, I agree they're not fans, just animals..... also I would have given the bill to the clubs to pay for (they've got millions why not let them pay for the damages!).

These kids should be named and shamed in the local papers. If that does nt work then string them up in the streets and stone them, that will teach them. If the parent protest then stone them too! Or better still break into there home and jump up and down on their Playstations or Xbox!

There is no deterent nowadays. I was watching the news and they were reporting that crime figures for teenage girls had increased and they interviewed one girl who said she wasn't bothered about violence and crime as it seems that there is nothing anyone can do about it so it will only get worse and that was a 14 year old girl!

She is basically saying that nothing gets done so it just gets worse!

I caught someone shopliffting last week in Boots, I approached one of the women who was serving and advised her and her reply was 'Nothing I can do about it' I had just watched someone clear a shelf full of products into his bag and that was all she could say. I went outside and called the store, spoke to the manager and described the guy, the items and what had happened....I was right outside the store and he was still inside I could still see him. She thanked me and said how rare it was for some to report these things to them and my reply to that was ' Well no wonder when thats the reply you get from your staff'

I had my car door kicked in at 7.40am on a busy Friday morning in the center of Edinburgh there were pleanty of folk around but only 1 guy came forward as a witness. People don't want to get involved and thats why society is in the state it is, however if the boot was on the other foot these same people would expect people to help them.

I am one of a dying breed it would seem who repect others and their property I also believe in treating others as you expect to be treated. Kids today have no concept of this, but maybe they do but its not the 'in' thing to be good when your around your mates is it?

Just shoot the *****......or 10 minutes in a cell with a cheesegrater and a tub of rock salt. The outcome would be the same, the infliction would be more satisfying.

Unfortunately Angie, when a good boy gets stabbed in the neck with broken glass, because he doesn't want to fight, or a little sod gangrapes a girl of 16 and then pours cotic soda over her doesn't feel any remorse, then sadly few people will want to make themselves targets. I got involved in an armed robbery on holiday, and stupidly enough my first reaction was to make sure she was ok, get her back to the hotel (about 50 foot away) and then chase after them and stop them (GF stopped me telling me I was "stupid"), but if someone has a gun near your face it gets you angry, however, thinking now, I was dumb, it's only money, and not even mine! Tbh though if these nasty nasty people (their have been two robberies in the last few years, one where a store clerk had a syring on bleach pushed in to her neck, but not depressed and one where the guy had a syringe full ogf his own dirty blood) shoplift, rob, trash, etc. then why would you, as a store clerk getting paid minimum wage risk getting beaten up for someone elses money/goods. I can see both sides, saying that I'm still in the camp of "All it takes for evil to succeed, is for good men to do nothing" and "When they came for me their was no one...." it is up to decent people to uphold their morals, but at the end of the day sometimes you gotta think is it worth not going home to your family over.......

Indeed Tom. At the end of the day your life and your family are much more important than a couple of bottles of Vodka.

I worked in Safeway while I was at school and someone who had been in my class at school came in, nicked about 3 bottles of Vodka and I could name her and I was asked by the manager why I did nothing and my reply was 'I have to walk up that road out there to get a bus and these smack heads have guns and I've seen them used before and I don't want to find myself killed over something like that'.

With that he decided to take no more action as he then feared for his own safety, so yeah sometime you have to think about it, especially when its so close to home and people who know you. I only mentioned to the woman in boots as I thought she would alert the security guard that had suddenly vanished......funny that. Had probably been bungged a wee bit cash to stay out the way no doubt.

I agree totally kids these days dont show any respect for their own relatives and belongings let alone other peoples!! If they were named and shamed on tv they would see it as a reward a big achievement rather than an embarrassment!!!

We had a brand new clio on 1st dec 05, on the 28th some idiot drunk in a stolen car speeding up the road lost control hit the garden wall (made up of solid concrete blocks) they flew through the house, and hit our car too which was on the drive. The guy was caught hiding behind a wall, arrested, forensics came his blood was in the car but they couldnt convict him because they couldnt prove he was the driver!!! Shocking he got away with it n we were all left traumatised, including the elderley neighbour who's property was all hit, and who was just getting over losing her husband to cancer!! Appauling!!!! Same car we had some drunken idiot jump on the bonnet of too!!!

Then theres my 19 yr old cousin, got on his moped to fetch a game from his mates house at the top of his rd. A well known joy rider came along the rd in a stolen car hit him and carried on going, unfortunally my cousin died as a result. The idioy was caught sentenced to 5 yrs for causing death by dangerous driving and got released on good behaviour after 2 an d a half years!!!!! He now walks round the streets taunting my family, and to top it off Christophers brother has had to sign documents to say that he will not harm the lad that did this to his only brother!!!!

Sorry for the long post but it gets me really mad!!!!
