Bug Splat !!

Is it me or...............now I have opened the taps so to speak I hardly have any bug splats on the screen or the front bumper. I can see by the rake of the screen that it is more areodynamic but I gave it a work out on a country road and found one little fly on the number plate. Compared to other cars I drive I am gob smacked !!

i second that. Polished mine up last night, come home from work, and it's a massacre, think there might even be a small deer on the front grill.

Last week I polished the screen using plain water and left the car for 24 hours. On my return I was very surprised to find lots of very small dead insects stuck all over the screen I had previously cleaned.

Is it just me or do the bugs seem to be getting bigger. The ones stuck to the front of my car seem to have exploded into a sticky juicy mess

Yea I do a 100km round trip once a week and at the end it looks like a mass grave on the front of my car. Now is that because I drive fast or there are more bugs around over here?

Just think of the plague of bugs there would be if it wasn't for all the cars on the road.

I've seen very few bugs splattered on my car this year, sadly there are loads of stone chips though

Oh man, I get the bug splats, and yes there are massive! The worst is when I go up to Lincs to visit my sis. I'm amazed you guys can see out of your cars up there!

I'm so paranoid about keeping my paintwork on top shape i have some product (GUNK bug and tar remover) that I use in my boot with cheap kitchen roll . Bird poo, dead bugs, i win... haha! The local detailing center guy once told me that dead bugs can permanently mess up you paintwork if you leave it unwashed for a long time as it is acidic. I knew bird poo had this effect but this was new to me. This is when I started doing this.

Although people do think you're a psycho when you pull up to sainsburys and start polishing a small area before casually strolling in...

They don't get it, we're special! heh...

I'm suffering from a few stone chips, but mostly bird poo. It seems that everytime I wash the car, some avian creature sees it as a new target. Damn them!
