New Car - Paperwork
Hi All,
I've had my new Type-S for just over 2 weeks now and I would have expceted to recieve something from Honda explaining the Breakdown cover, a card with contact details on for the car, etc, but have recieved nothing. Also still waiting for the DVLA to get their arse in gear with the new V5 too! Should I have recieved something by now??? Cheers, Steve |

You get no card for breakdown cover, the number on the back of the tax disc holder is what you get along with a little book in with your handbook etc. My dealer ruggeted I put the number in my phone if I was taking the tax disc holder off.
You get nothing through the door from Honda. As for the DVLA it can take them upto 8 weeks to issue your V5. If there is a lot of activity with folk buying and selling cars at a particular time then this will delay it. I was fortunate and picked my car up on the Friday and the V5 arrived on the Monday, but it wasn't a busy time of year |

I got nothing from Honda either, for the Honda Assistance.
My V5 did come within a week of taking delivery of the car, but as Angie says it can take up to 8 weeks. |

Picked up my car on 24th May and my V5 arrived on 11th June.
Also got a confirmation letter from DVLA that I no longer own the CTS I traded in about the same time |

I got bugger all, what tax disc holder? I had to buy my own and was just given the tax disc with the paper work. Sounds like great service! NOT!

I'll have a look on the holder to see if that gives me any more info. Have to admit it's poor compared to the barrage of info I was given when I brought my Toyota previously... Steve |
