Auto Locking

Have been to the dealers regarding the non functioning alarm system ( now fixed ) and asked them about Auto Locking. They told me it is there but Honda disable it for the UK market. They cannot enable it but will give me the code to do it myself. Forgive me if this has been covered or indeed the code is already posted here. If not I would be happy to share this with anyone.

It means.................when the car is moving at about 10 mph the doors will lock automatically ( anti Hi jack function )
Rich

What exactly do you mean by "autolocking"? I know that with my car if I unlock with the remote and do not open a door within a certain time it will lock again. Is that what you mean?

I think he means doors lock automatically when the car is driven.

Get it posted, certainly not seen it before!

Hmm, well mine is not a UK market car (Finnish), and I don't have that kind of autolocking...

Don't think the fire and rescue services in the U.K. go a bundle on it.

On impact ( accident ) the doors will automatically un lock. It does it on my Merc so can't see why this should be a problem ?

There is an article on wiki - here's the link

Activate automatic door locks at 10mph - Civinfo Wiki

it is also worth setting the autounlock so the doors unlock when ignition is switched off.

Now I get it. But don't you all have that little door lock button on the drivers side? Such a difficult thing to press a button...

This worked on 2006 civics it wouldn't work on 2007/08 models.

Have you tried the code Rich, does it work on yours? If it did I would be interested.

Automatic Locking function was disabled by Honda on 2007+ Models
Why?

They don't do easy!!
