crack on the dash board

New to this.
Just had my civic serviced where i reported that
there wae a crack on the dash on the left-hand
near to the radio.
This was photographed and sent to honda uk.
the reply i got was that i had done it and it was noted
that there was glue on it.
Is there anybody else out there who may have the same problem.

Never heard of anything like this.

Did you have the i-Pod adapter fitted as an option? The dealer would have removed the radio section of the dash to fit it.

Have you had any rattles fixed in this area?

crack

no rattles at all
have had to have the car in twice for the filler cap
other than that i have had very few problems.
no i pod fitted.
maybe that it will be a lot of work in getting the dash off to
replace it.
any suggestions as to where i can take it for a second opinion

Click the image to open in full size.

If you click the picture it will show a full size scale version. The car is an 06 registration. 1.8EX model.

If you don't get anywhere with the Dealership biggsy and therefore have to dosh out yourself :--
Some smart repair firms, as well as doing paintless dent removal, repair internal plastic sections.
There is a small firm down my way, who made a brilliant job of our kids Freelander dash , which she b-ggered up ( FAR worse than yours.) Even I, with my hawk eyes cannot notice the repair, as even the dimple's line up exactly. They are not National I'm afraid, but there are others out there. I believe it cost her £70.

Theres a company called 'The plastic surgeon' who repair things like this.... they repaired my UPVC windows brilliantly, you'd never know a crack had occurred.
