Unhappy Civic Driver - Crashed And Dead

Hi all,
My car is no longer, it was involved in an accident on the M6 yesterday, hit behind by BMW which was hit by a 40 ton artic! I came off ok, BMW driver is in hospital with Critical injury's! My hear goes out to him.... My car came off with bent chassis and bend rear axles, lucky i escaped with minor injury's, whiplash and painfull back!

This car made me smile until the last and now i m driving around in a pants Ford Focus!

Goodness me, Thankfully you are ok apart from minor injuries and a painful back .

Really sorry to hear about your accident and of course your written off civic.

And to top it all you get a Focus

Hope you get everything sorted and can get another civic soon

Well the car is no more. Bent chassis and axle pretty much says it all.

At least you're ok and hopefully the BMW driver will be too. It's only a car at the end of the day and it can be replaced.

You can always get another Civic

Let's hope the other driver makes a full and speedy recovery.

Hey,

Glad to hear your ok apart from your minor injurys & the back pains which should go away in time and I am sure with time the BMW driver will be ok to.

As others have said here already, while we all love our cars they are just a piece of metal which can be replaced you cant however and so it done it's job well of protecting you.

I hope another Civic is on the cards for you when you are all sorted out?

Glad you are ok Poejay and sorry to hear about your car, I can only imagine how gutting that is however as others have said it can be replaced. Hopefully the BMW driver will recover but I bet the lorry driver must be feeling pretty bad right now.

Were you being tailgated or was it just an unlucky chain of events?? Reminds us all how important it is to leave the right stopping distances. Pleased you are ok.

Blimey... as much as you think/feel fine, make sure you evaluate in your mind whether or not you are!
Sometimes accidents dont always sink in until you re evaluate just how lucky you... Im sure the other person will be fine, critical injuries will be dealt with my the hospital and they sometimes come out of hospital feeling better than the person who just walked away with the lesser injurues because they havent had as much psycological help. This is nothing to hide away from, everyone needs to talk about it, otherwise you just wouldnt move on...

Make sure you talk about it to the nearest and dearest and if you feel your back hurts too much, go get it checked out!
I know of a situation where a friend of mine had an injury (not even that bad) in his early 30s and because he never admitted to anyone that it really did hurt, he is now registered disabled and suffers from a slipped disk in his early 40s!!!! He spends months on end at home lying on his back and basically in even more pain!

give it time, as much as you loved your civic, there are other priorities in life, im sure in time, you will prob consider buying another car... civic or not!!!

Good luck and i hope everything works out well for you all!!!
