Why no white civic?

Just seen the wifes driving instuctors 1 year old white corsa and he's not happy with this water based, eco friendly paint used on his car, the metal body work (doors etc) are all shiny 'glacier' white but the plastic bumpers(front and back) are a creamy dull and dirty 'white', so perhaps honda saw this very problem coming and decided against white, 'can't have honda owners complaining about paintwork!'

The paint is the same colour, but the materials reflect light differently, hence it is almost impossible to make they blend in perfectly. Of course you could order your car in black and avoid the problem but with any other colour it is a lost cause. It shows on any car with painted plastic bumpers, be it BMW, Volvo, Toyota...

All automotive paint is water based, solvent based paint have been forbidden for a long time.

That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard. They're equipped for black, red, blue, and tangerine though right?

Ask any paint guy and they'll confirm that all the 'solid' paint finishes are a mare to match up from bodywork to bumpers/panels. Mainly due to the lack of 'depth' in the paint.

white civic

likely to become available towards the end of the current models life span. Along with other new colours to freshen up the range. I have a red type R and would have gone for white.

colours are never changed mid model year as all the amendments are done during the summer factory closure when the machinery is remodelled, cleaned and re-fitted.

As to whether its going to happen, thats down to market research and customer demand. Ok, we all say on here we want white, but just how many people would actually buy a white one??

say 1,000 at most on here if that, out of the annual european sales of the civic it just wouldnt work.

But hey, thats my opinion and i'll probably be proven wrong....

Yawn.

If it ever happens, it'll be Type R colour only as with other brands sports models. You wouldnt have bought one then.
