I'm in a real quandry. I pay £15 at the moment, but in April 2009 it will go to zero, so when it's due in January will I have to pay the whole £15 or will it be adjusted?

What car you talking about? If it's the Hybrid, the road tax is going UP in April 09 - from £15 this year to £20.

The CO2 is 109g - see here for the rates: BBC NEWS | Special Reports | 629 | 629 | New car tax rates

Yes but there's also a £20 discount for alternative fuel cars, which is the bracket the Hybrid falls into...And you can't get six months!

Ah, I hadn't realised this!

I just did a few searches and see that it's a £20 discount in 09/10 and £10 discount in 10/11.

I have to admit I do fear for how long they'll keep low emissions road tax rates cheap! Once more people move over to them I'm sure the government will screw everyone and hike them back up again!
