Road Tax
I own a 56 plate EX i-shift and was wondering whether the road tax was due to go up when theincreases are due. I've tried searching under "Road Tax" and "Vehicle License" and can't find any references to it. Does anybody know?

I've looked in my Registration Certificate and it states that CO2 emissions are 153 g/km. On the Wiki site it says that a 1.8EX i-shift is only 147. This means that at the moment I am paying £145 Road Tax when, apparently, I should only be paying £120. What are other EX i-shift drivers paying?

I don't know if I'm the only one who is suffering from this problem but I've sent this e-mail to DVLA. I hope that your right on this and I haven't increased everybody else's tax.
I've owned my Honda Civic (FV56HOH) 1.8EX with i-shift since new and have been paying £145 Road Tax. The "Log Book" says the CO2 emissions are 153 G/Km. As you can see from this web page, Road Tax I have been paying too much apparently. Could you please tell me how to go about reclaiming the £60 pounds approx. that I have been overcharged and having the Registration Certificate altered? |

Try these out...
To find out CO2 emissions, try here: CO2 Emissions Data
And as for the new bands, there's a fairly handy table here: BBC NEWS | Special Reports | 629 | 629 | New car tax rates |

right. check your v5 reg doc. it states the c02 emmissions for your car. if they look like they go up in march next year just tax your car now for 6 months. that way, you renew your tax befor emarch next year at the lower rate rather than the higher. dont go by the Wiki or anything else other than the dvla site.

Right, now I'm really confused. I've just checked VCAcarfueldata.org.uk - Database Search
and that says the CO2 figure is 160. My Reg Doc. says 153 and CH says 149. Somebody, somewhere has dropped a b****ck. |

As I say, go with what it says on your V5 reg doc, not on websites. The details on your reg doc are those that the DVLA/Post office use to determine the tax for your car.
