Got the new car!
Well, took delivery of my NHB ES on Wednesday after a 7 week wait - have to say I am really happy with it so far!
The dealer experience has been better than any I've ever had - friendly, not pushy service, bunch of flowers for my partner, follow up call to see if I needed any help with the controls (I need some help with mp3 CDs but think I'll read the manual Delivery time seems to have been pretty reasonable compared to many here - the car arrived on the exact day I was promised on the day I ordered. There's a slight scratch round one of the parking sensors, but I've been promised a quick repair to that - I only spotted that one thanks to the checklist, so thanks to those who've contributed to that, it was really valuable. I've done about 150 miles and am finding the transition from an Alfa 156 pretty favourable so far. The ride is great - bit more comfortable than the Alfa but not all squidgy... Trip computer seems a bit fiddly but nothing serious. All in all, I love the car - finding excuses for long drives already. Oh - the black is going to be fun keeping clean - I've lost my thinggy to read the camera SD card so no photos yet...but she's filthy after three days I was in Paris at the motorshow last weekend too and have a few nice pics of the Type-R. Is it wrong to be thinking of trading the new Civ in for a VW Iroc already |
