Diesel Civic on a Trackday

I took my Civ to RAF Valley in Anglesey Yesterday as they run a charity trackday each year (they do bikes on Saturday - I did that to ) with my bro-in-law in his Caterham.

I am really really surprised in just how well it handles and how fast it goes. I spent 1 session glued the the back of a Focus ST170, couldn't get by it on the straights but was catching on each corner and on the brakes.

In the 3rd session I lapped my bro-in-law he went home early .

Anyway a few pics and a short video for your entertainment:

I desperately want to do a track day. And would like some chipped diesels to attend too.

I think it was said that a chipped 2.2 would be better on the road, rather than the track!!!

Even I agree that petrol is more suited to the artificial environment of a track.
