i've got an 08 type r gt
the only things i don't like about my car are -
a. the poor stereo ( i'm fixing that at the moment)
b. rear visibility but only when changing lanes because i've got rear parking sensors ( they're a god send )
c. cheap plastic dash ( but it is a jap car check out toyota, suzuki etc)

but other than that i love the car and the noise is just so addictive and the cars quick enough to scare the poo out of me.
i've had no rattles at all the engine hasn't used any oil and the paint is fine but i have had the drivers door window rubber replaced though
not to keen on my local delear but thats a long story.

It annoys me that the split of the rear seats is the wrong way round. If they split was such that the single seat was behind the driver, you'd be able to go shopping with a passenger, buy a wardrobe and slide it in down the left side of the car, and the passenger then sit in the back behind me. Instead, if I want to do that I either need to leave the passenger behind, or get them to drive their focus instead. At which point we may as well go in their car, as the focus has the split the other way round.

Stone chips. Thats it. Hands down the best car I have ever owned.

I think the plastic quality on the interior is quite good??

Plus Am I the only one that like the rear spoiler when driving as it blocks out the cars that are behind you blinding headlights in the mirror?!

I assume you're in a left hand drive model? As I guessed, they set it right for the rest of Europe, and didn't bother to switch it over for the UK - which is a surprise given that Japan drive on the left too.

You assume correctly.

However, the Euro model is not sold in Japan.

There are things we do like. But this is the only car that I have ever known that we have ever regreted having.
Sorry to hear that you hate the car but then....

Excuse the obvious question (and my curiousity) - then why did you buy one, and a 3 door?? Surely you would have checked about a seat memory etc before you bought it and decided that you could live with it? I do adjust the drivers seat because my hubbie has it different to me, I have always noted how far back/up etc it is for me and aways get the seat back to the same place.

I think my main concern with my new civi is that the interior and exterior is so 'fragile', Dash marks if you sneeze, seat belt buckle marks the door trim if you let it recoil when removing it (wifes fault), have to be carful catching mudflaps or all hell happens with exterior trims, not very impressed so far !!!!

Lack of a rear screen wiper. Going out early on a cold autumn morning and not being able to clear the rear window is a pain.

Rattles and a pointless radio

Perhaps the area below the vents should be a storage area, at least that might be of some use. The sound is fine when on ipod. Thank god I have the connecter fitted or my annoyance would be even higher.

The interior lights go off after a set length of time if a door or boot is left open, perhaps the mirror light goes off too. All lights the come on again when you unlock the car, so perhaps the mirror light is not on all the time the car is left unattended. If it is glowing away before you unlock the car then I am wrong here.
