Paint - looks good when clean with the blue flecks in it but too soft and thin.
Oh and while I knew the seats didn't go back to their original position when I bought the car, I didn't realise just how bloody annoying it is when you have to adjust your seat so often. I think it's a bit cheap of honda on a 19k+ car. Lack of bass through stereo/speakers - soon to be resolved. Heavy boot lid - not really a gripe though, just puzzled as to why. Interior plastics - not great quality but just about ok. Everything else - Excellent!!! |

Dislikes :-
More rattles than mothercare. Suspension clunks and groans. Suspension can't handle rough roads and potholes. Drab plastic interior. Too many features not quiet right. |

I love everthing about mine especially the rear end that says good morning first thing and is perfectly quiet the rest of the day. I have`nt any rattles at all apart from the Wife and for me it is totally motoring enjoyment

Seats don't remember position which is very annoying.
But the worse thing I find is that it is very tricky judging where the front of the car is when parking/manouvering because the front visibility is poor. But I've still happy with it overall |

Generally I like the car,the i shift is quite good although still catches me out occasionally, visability I can live with. The shape is fantastic, vivid blue enhances it. The ride is alright, and don't seem to suffer too badly from interior rattles.Petrol consumtion good ,regularly get 47mpg (measured).But:-
stone chps on bonnet are bad. panel fits are bad. suspension bump stops still knocking. disapointed in build quality. front mudflaps catching/damaging sills and plastic wheel trim(since had to remove flaps altogether- which is a pain). |

This is not a comment against you, but why do people complain about the lack of a wiper or the spoiler? If it is that much of a problem shouldn't it have been noticed on the test drive and therefore why still buy? I can understand the anger and frustration on other matters, such as the paint and rattles, but this issue is plain to see (no pun intended!), in fact it is the most publicised aspect of the new Civic. I love my Civic, including some of the little niggles, but this gives the car, in my opinion, a personality. After 2 years in a Toyota which did nothing but induce sleep and was far from fault free, the Civic is like a breath of fresh air. Maybe the Civic is a marmite car, some people love them, others hate them!!! |

I don't like the knocking coming out from the suspension. That's the biggest problem with our civic. All the other problems are minor to me.

I think I am the only that must hate the engine,(2.2 diesel) it's load, noisy, it's rattly. It's OK when it's cruising, but around town,it's ****e. It's also been back for that, but they assure me the engine noise is normal! ![]() I had four Seat Leon's on the trot and just bought this for a change, plus the wife fancied it! It's the first time she has had any input on a car, and the last! |

Probably, because you assume that if it hasn't got one, it doesn't need one, that not having one, will not be a big problem. If it needed a wiper, they's fit one, right? Wrong.
