Suspension (ride / damping / tramlining / suspension noise / tyre noise).

I could live with the suspension if the dashboard, door panels, b pillar trim and parcel shelf supports were built to put up with the 'workout' the suspension gives them.

Recently my brakes felt snatchy and the car would pitch under heavy braking. This could have been because the pads were very low. As my pads are still new (less than a week old), I have not yet given the car a servere workout to assess if the suspension is at fault.

The suspension: its endless creaks, squeaks and groans, its harsh ride, and the feeling that it belongs on a 10k builders' van, not a 16k hatchback.

I also don't like the fact that with a Civic come Honda dealers, who I've generally been underwhelmed by in the two years that I've owned the car.

My last generation Civic didn't do it - neither does my Mum's Toyota Corolla, or my friend's Golf, this is the first car I've had that does it (I've had six cars - only one was not a hatchback)

But I can live with it, I just have to remember to not stand underneath it!

So if you refer to it as him, it would be " sexual behavior with or attraction to people of the same sex "

LOL. My CTR is black and i can't think of it as being female. Maybe its because i'm female myself
Traditionally all large items of machinery when referred to affectionately are "her" although to be grammatically correct should be "it"

Anyway to keep this on topic - one of the things i don't like about my civic is i can't think of a name for him!

Previous cars of mine have not needed such expensive oil (and they have lasted longer between services)

Coming to a week so far of owning my Civic I found out that not having a rear wiper is annoying. Now thats its starting to get cold in the mornings condensation is on the rear window and the only way to get rid of it is going fast around corners

not really safe but you know!

How do you get your rear window clear?

Agreed, the suspension doesn't bother me. The only problem I have with mine is (admittedly small) rattles & squeks. Main offenders are a creak from the dashboard (narrowed it down to somewhere in the area where the steering wheel is connected) on cold mornings & rattling parcel shelf on bumpy roads. Apart from that I love my civic.

I hate my rattles, but they are now a bit quieter after the dealer had the car in. My main gripe would still have to be the stiff ride. (ooh-er!)
