Cheap paper tin metal used in the doors, and the doors do not lock automatically when moving off, my last 3 cars have all had this feature...Oh and not the best quality speakers, not bad but could do better...

I had the previous shape Leon 1.9 TDi SE previous to my new Civic. I have to say I agree that I absolutely loved to drive it. I can't help feel that the Leon was sportier, a better handler and the power seemed to come in one lump. Having said that, the Civic 2.2 is a far quieter engine, more refined and far better for motorway cruising which I do a lot of. It's just that it feels a bit more sedate, even though it's quicker 0-60 and has 10bhp more.

A and B pillar vissiblity, although interesting it is a little better in the 3 door

Front suspention

Overall lack of any kind of provocable oversteer

I have had a long list of major issues with the front end of mine, but i still love it, and will most likely by another one in two years!

Intrestingly, my paint is not overly soft or chipable, no worse than any other black car that i have owned, I have had NO problems with my rear suspention and i think the stereo is fine!

This is a really traitor like thread!

It will serve us right if our Civic's break down in protest!

Good job they can't read!

I'm beginning to get really peeved about the lack of a rear wiper. I never look out of the back of the car as I learnt to use my side mirrors and this has always sufficed. However, when reversing, parking or manouvering, you really cannot see anything at all when the car has frost or mist on it. VERY annoying indeed.

I see your point Dan, but I find a quick check of the area you are going to reverse in to lets you know what obstacles are there in the first instance and a glance around lets me know if any children (for example) are likley to run behind you. The main window should be clear (from the defroster) along with the mirrors lets me judge distance etc (plus my parking sensors! ).

I have to say that when my car windows are frosted / misted up I always make sure my windows are 100% clear before setting off. If I'm not happy with my visibilty then I don't drive.

Very sensible. Its a shame others don't take the same view, they might be able to avoid an accident!

Are you sure the VSA is not preventing this for you?

I've been able to get mine to oversteer OK.

Try clearing your windows before you drive off as per the Highway code

Unfortunately, when its raining or snowing like it has been lately, the lack of an umbrella over my car means that the windows still get wet, obscuring the rear view.Clearing the rear window before driving off will do nothing in this instance.

The thing that is annoying me is the magnet that I seem to have at the back of the car which makes folk stick to the back of your car as you drive

You would have the same complaint with an Accord saloon, but for some reason in one of them people don't complain.....

This is my biggest complaint too. A wiper on the back would make life so much easier.

most BMW and Merc drivers i've seen round these parts don't use their mirrors or indicators, let alone the rear window.
