Talking Blown away!!! Keep it clean!!

I finally got my Civic today and had it all of 6 hours! Can I just say that it's even better than I imagined! Can someone tell me is the car superglued to the road? I've never in my life driven a car that grips the road so well!!!

I've been sitting in the car for the past 3-4 hours trying to work out how to work and the bits and pieces, needless to say I'm nowhere near having worked out everything, but getting there! I've been trying out the hands free and think its ok - I told them to do the fix, but clearly that was asking too much! So I'll be bringing it back to have that done.

I'm quite happy with the ride the 18" storms have given me so far, to be quite honest I didn't pay for them, so I'm in no rush to get rid of them, as I'm sure they'll add some value if I ever sell it (which to be quite honest - I can't EVER see me doing!)

I'm trying to get used to the clutch, as it's quite different from many of the other cars I have driven. At the moment I am a very happy bunny, and can't wait to see my little beauty in daylight. I've already had some people looking, well it's either the car they're looking at or some mad Irish ejit sitting in a car trying to read a manual at 11pm!

Once again - thanks for all the advice everyone has given me (I've already put the auto-lock feature on) and I look forward to many happy miles to come!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I could crush a grape!

Moo!

Thanks for that!

I've just got a little bit of light reading to do before bedtime now! All 482 pages of it!

Sorry to hear about your studio pack, I get mine installed yesterday, the guy at the showroom even let me see my car in pieces - which scared me a little, but it all seems worth it now! As for the camera, its a bit weird to start off with, you know the whole looking at the front of the car rather than the back when reversing! And before anyone mentions it - yes I do still check behind, but it's an amazing piece of equipment! I've never had a hands free that works so well, it's a pity it's not a bit clearer, but I'll just put that down to the fix that needs done.

Apart from that, as I said I'm a happy boy at the mo and can't wait to go for a long drive (out of London!) to get used to the different way it works!

I hope your pack turns up soon, I don't think you'll be dissapointed!

The dealer found one is should be going in on the 6th of nov to be fitted
let us know how you get on with your long run outs try a run on the motorway and see what it feel like at a good speed , see if it just the poor roads or does the civics not like high speeds (hard to keep in stright line . moving about alot doesnt feel like its glued to the road)
ps yer the book quite good bedtime reading put me to sleep , maybe it that size on perpous to calm you down after the excting ride anyone notice how the book keeps going on page after page about the same thing , and I was a bit worrired how many times it say seriuors injuey or death may ocrrier if you --------- lol.

Glad to hear you got the car, and all is well.
A quick question. I guess your car is a 2007 model, so how did you set the auto-locking?
I understood it was ommitted from the '07 cars, as it was never originally part of the UK spec. I tried to set it anyway, as detailed elswhere on Civinfo, but it wasn't having any of it.
It's a feature I really wanted and was disappointed when it didn't work.
If you have the secret, please share.
Thanks.
