Dealer Valet

I picked up my new Civic last Thursday which had been Valeted like all new cars are, but today while driving into work it was raining (this is the first time I have driven in the rain since getting the Civic) and I noticed that the rain was beading and just rolling of the windscreen as though Rain-X had been applied.

Has anyone else noticed this and know if dealerships are now applying some forme of rain repelant while performing a valet.

I would only imagine it is some form of polish that they used.

My new work car I picked up last week was fresh out of a dealers (after being signed up) and the front screen repelled water to some extent on that.

Looks like it is just a quirk from them cleaning the car then I suppose.

It might even be a trace of delivery wax on the window.
