What's been done then ?

Whenever receiving my car back from the dealer I have to ask what work has been carried out, I have an ongoing problem and need to know this. I would like to receive a worksheet detailing what has been done, the same as for a regular service visit.

Unless you speak to the mechanic, it's very hard to find out.

When I picked up my diesel the other day, the service manager went through the bill and his spiel included "Washer, Plug 14mm - that's your spark plugs"...

When I had my rear dampers replaced earlier this year, I didn't get a worksheet. I got one two weeks ago though when the EPS work was carried out.

they are no longer called mechanic's or grease monkeys
the service managers calls them technician
Thats not what I call them at £50 per hour

Just like bin-men are now "refuse collection operatives", and secrertaries are "personal assistants"?

An air-hostess is an air-hostess, not a "flight attendant", and airline pilots are glorified bus drivers *

Back on topic, I often ask what was done to sort the problem out, and would like to see a job sheet of the work, but I never do....

*hoping Pottsy sees the winking smiles (x3!) and does not ban me.....

Glorified? Exhausted is probably a better word... And hosties are now "Cabin Crew Members"

LOL - So I am known as the official moaner of Civinfo am I?

Its hard to find a good old fashioned mechanic these days the ones that really knew how to fix a car without relying on a computer. I have never been given a worksheet either even when they gave me a new gearbox in the last car. Just as well or I would have to buy a few box files to store them (It's ok , it's ok im just joking not moaning )

Anyway who said I am happy ?
