What's been done then ?

Whenever receiving my car back from the dealer I have to ask what work has been carried out, I have an ongoing problem and need to know this. I would like to receive a worksheet detailing what has been done, the same as for a regular service visit.

Unless you speak to the mechanic, it's very hard to find out.

When I picked up my diesel the other day, the service manager went through the bill and his spiel included "Washer, Plug 14mm - that's your spark plugs"...

When I had my rear dampers replaced earlier this year, I didn't get a worksheet. I got one two weeks ago though when the EPS work was carried out.

Just like bin-men are now "refuse collection operatives", and secrertaries are "personal assistants"?

An air-hostess is an air-hostess, not a "flight attendant", and airline pilots are glorified bus drivers

Back on topic, I often ask what was done to sort the problem out, and would like to see a job sheet of the work, but I never do....

Glorified? Exhausted is probably a better word... And hosties are now "Cabin Crew Members"

LOL - So I am known as the official moaner of Civinfo am I?

Its hard to find a good old fashioned mechanic these days the ones that really knew how to fix a car without relying on a computer. I have never been given a worksheet either even when they gave me a new gearbox in the last car. Just as well or I would have to buy a few box files to store them (It's ok , it's ok im just joking not moaning

)
