Recognising production date/model year?

How does one recognise the production date (series) or model year of the car. My car has an engraved chassis number SHHFK27607U001647. How can I deduce production date from this number? So far - after 2 months and 6800 km - I have yet to experience filler cap problems, squeaky dash, rear shock and other faults about which I've learnt through the forum.

I am thanking my lucky stars, fairy godmother and everybody that needs a thankyou - Honda included!!

SHHFK27607U001647 thats your production date!so you got a 2007 model thats great the only fault i heard is the filler cap so far.

Thanks, Meesterlijk - I had no idea which digits indicated the model year, having suspected the manufacturer of having a much more devious coding system.
