Was having mine replaced today and was told by my dealer Honda are looking into another material to eleviate the dash scratching issues. Has anybody heard anything??

It isn't really surprising is it, the material they use now will not stand the test of time without being extra careful, it is not practical. This will probably be one of many changes I would imagine.

how did they change it? I mean what was the reason what you told that you want it to be changed?
How old is your car?

car has 600 miles told them i scratched it with a cloth, told them it was their fault for not telling me it scratches so easily, demanded a replacement and got one.
