Test results of car seats whiplash protection

The Swedish authorities Folksam in coorperation with the British Thacham have tested modern carseats protection against whiplash damages.

Great results for the Civic. Just below Volvo V50, S80 2007 and Saab 9-3

Text in Swedish. Points are on page two.

Take away the cars made in Sweden (for obvious reasons) Civic is No1

It can't be worse than 32 pts and BMW 5-series has topped that!
Note that Corsa's seats perform twice better (in terms of points) than Astra's..
So why doesn't Opel install Corsa seats in Astra?

Here is the link to a pdf file from Thatcham.org. Read more about the whiplash test and results over here:

http://www.thatcham.org/ncwr/pdfs/cr...ction_2006.pdf

And would you note that Honda has good points only in the New Civic and the rest are poor...
Also noteworthy is, Porsche refused to take part in the tests like some other makers...

So, that makes the seats better and safer than the 5 NCAP star rating Focus?

I assume thats the new Corsa. A few weeks ago my dad pulled out of a side road in a 30mph limit in front of a speeding Corsa (old model). The 4 occupants of the Corsa were all out in a shot and shouting abuse and had to be restrained by onlookers. He has subsequently received 4 solicitors letters for compensation for whiplash injuries.
I hope these improved seatbelts eventually deter this automatic attempt to get compensation.
