Valve Cap

had my civic for 10 days now. I found the site after ordering and thought what have i done after reading many of the posts. But i love the car and what i have found has happened is that you make a post as i did and imediately you getting people having a moan on a thread that is not particularly connected. I know it must be very frustrating having a car that lets you down and spends more time in the dealer than you intended. But it sometimes feels that the forum is a virtual puch bag that people vent their spleen at whatever the cost. I too have almost come to the point that i will not visit the forum any more as i leave feeling disheartened and iim just waiting for the car to roll down a hill because of the handbrake while the foglights self implode and all this happens when im running round to see if the fuel cap has opened.
Had an Audi before and got rid of it because the dealers are pants and charge like a wounded rhino, it kept breaking down and every time i went out the dash lit up like blackpool peer. I hope the honda delvers me a better experiance. But i wouldn't change it for the world, especially hen i come on the motorway and im doing 90 |

No need to put others of Buying though Geoff !!
as has been mentioned already in this thread it appears Honda have sorted most if not all of the problems at source and the '07 cars are proof of this !! I hope that with these problems sorted Honda will now concentrate on dealing with any outstanding issues with owners of '06 cars |

I think because life throws enough stress and problems at us sometimes it just becomes very stressful and frustrating to have to deal with a constant ongoing battle with Honda. It seems the best place to let off steam is amongst the people that have a common factor - the Civic. |

Noone saying it's not allowed, I'm just pointing out that civinfo.com != Honda and therefore moaning on here will not fix your cars! |

I can understand people’s frustrations but I don't see that complaining to Honda Customer Services is going to accomplish much and will only increase frustration. They are going to tell you to go to your dealer; they have put in place a network of dealers that they pay to fix issues. If your dealer is not performing go to another! (I realise that’s not always possible)
And when you take you car into a dealer for what you think is a common fault and they say it's the first time they have seen it.... They may be right! Just because 20-30 people across Europe have it and post on this site does not mean every dealer in Europe has seen it. When they try and fix it they could just poke it with a stick and hope We should use this great site to empower us to get any problems fixed. As BG said moaning here won’t really solve anything. Personally I fell where possible we must try and get Service Bulletin Numbers for any ‘common’ problems we have had fixed and then get them on the Wiki. That way when we do have a problem quoting the Number when taking your car in will at least point them in the right direction. But HCS are there to be polite and point you to a dealer and if your dealer is not performing then you will just get more and more frustrated. If you do talk to them and they say it's a known problem take it to your dealer, ask for the bulletin number. Anyway thats my two peneth worth |

Even to the point of asking them to put Honda's phone number on the back of a business card, purely to help of course. |
