Front lower arm bushes
Hi
I have a Honda Civic SE Executive (2003) and need to replace front lower arm. Can someone please tell me how to replace this. Is it easy to replace the whole arm? Pictures and guides would be appreciated with types of tools required to get the job done. Thanks Ash |

Hi Ash
Cant really help you with a proper write up for your car, but this guy here is doing the bushes on the rear of his car and te write up and pics show you the sort of thing you would have to measure and do to make sure you get it right, it isnt just a case of putting the old ones out and putting the new ones in. You also need a bush press if you are just replacing bushes and these aint cheap. So i suppose the answer to your question is, yes its easier, if not more expensive to replace the arm, or speak to your dealer they probably can just do the bushes. I couldnt tell you exact prices, but for my old coupe, when the rear trailing arms had to be replaced, it was £200 per side, cause honda dont officially do the bushes on their own, it comes as a whole thing.
ive not seen a manual, there seems to be less and less around these days, what you could do is pop in to see your local dealer, usually they will bring up what you want to do and talk you through it. Sorry this is so vague, but doing work on your own car these days seems to be a thing of the past im afraid. |
