I agree with the other ladies here. As a woman I like a good car as much as the next man!

Macho lines?...Hmm what century we in again? Being a female, aged 26 and having had the civic for about a week i think i can say it tanscends all boundaries of gender and age. But thats just my opinion

Agreed. The Civic appeals to everyone it seems, young and old, male and female.

I also dont understand why the size would be considered masculine IMO the civic is a fairly small (ie stereotypically female) well my last car was an ST170 estate so I guess it would seem small.

Maybe with all the female members on here now we can rise up and take over! LOL

Seriously though I guess as a general rule car forums are dominated by chaps but we have a large female fanbase here as well as all the lovely blokes that frequent civinfo.

Oh and I'm 30 in July am I still considered young? I like to think so

I can see Parsonys point about cars such as the 206cc - they would seem to me to be feminine styled - but I should point out I quite like the new 207cc.
What I find more disturbing is that the Tigra is Officially the Hairdressers car - after some company polled about 10,000 or so hairdressers the Tigra was the car more hairdressers owned than any other.
And age is all relative Obo - my other half is 33 and acts far younger than me - sometimes I'm left feeling like an old old man - not good at 28

So what do you ladies(and gents) think of the Type-R ?
Would you consider that also to be a car for both girls/boys (ladies/gents) ?

I do. And compared to the previous model, I think it's a far better unisex car then say a Golf GTI or AudiTT. And not just because of the dual make-up mirrors.

But I have yet to see a girl driving the new Type-R (or old). Then again, I have yet to see ANY new Type-R in my area, but that's a different story.

I bet even a pink-metallic Type-R would still look great

I have seen one woman drive the new type r , so i guess the civic is a multisex car as i have now seen loads of women drive it

I've seen 2 woman, both in Red Type R's. One was early 30's, the other early 70's.

HEY everyone Panasony just called me a DOG

Regards the type R I love the shape and style but the 3 doors put me off along with and not being able to have leather seats and the red interior/dash as my favorite colour is blue which is what I loved about the 5 door dash (is that too girly a reason?) If I had the R I'd have to have the rage alloys too I think theyre wicked!
