Car went in for RECALL + Some

Thought early model owners might be interested.

Got my car in March 2006 and 3 weeks ago got a letter for a recall related to the Power Steering (EPS).

Car went in yesterday morning and is still with them, mine belongs to the cars that have a faulty component.

also has done 24,200 miles and getting it's second service done:

This is what is being done:

1) EPS Recall fix
2) Rear Shocks fix
3) Petrol Cap replacement (I had their FOAM workaround 3 times!)
4) New Brake Pads after 20,000 miles of motorway driving
5) 2 New Front tyres

EXPENSIVE! Glad im not paying!

My EPS failed, got it fixed then the recall letter appeared 2 weeks later...

Currently have 8000+ miles on the clock, going to start closely monitoring my front tyres now after your comments.

19MPG? Im hoping thats a petrol. You must be caning is left right and centre to get that on the diesal!!!

Im surprised at my tyres going so soon as they are mostly motorway miles. Maybe the Bridgstones are soft tyres.

Pads again for motorway driving have worn to quickly for my liking.

I was refering to your probable driving style to be able to wear out those bits so soon.

I've still got the pimples on my tyres.

Ahhh totally over my head that one See what you meant

Well I get over 50mpg and the mpg on the computer for the last 4000 miles has been 50.3 mpg. I dont screw it at all. Also its motorway driving and I only expect to see that kind of wear on tyres if one takes bends very quickly. Not here
