Nice car mister!

How many miles per complete stranger have commented on your car, I'm averaging 300 miles per nice comment! no adverse ones yet!

Can you beat that?

At a previous work placement (I move round the SE alot on my job) I would get to a traffic jam just outside of high wycombe, every day a family would walk past (school walk i guess) everyday the boy would turn round and point, had two weeks of this.

Does that count?

Now moved bases and dont get as many + more common now!

Went on holiday to St Ives last summer, car was only a day old. Went into the cottage whilst unloading the car. Came out to a crowd of people looking at my car.

The car doesn't attract so much attention now, I suppose they've become a bit more common (more of them, not er.. common) & accepted.

Civic are always so rare in France, so I have still these looks, comments, people asking what brand is it etc... Always positive, but maybe the one who don't like it dont spend a flintch (sp?) to comment !

Young drivers found of tuning (what we call "voiture de Jacky") always stop by and look at.

The worst was on the mortoway, Crossing over, changing lane, braking etc. just to have a look at all side of the car !

I havn't had any comments from anyone I didn't know. Plenty of looks at traffic lights etc, but never anyone actually stopping and saying anything to me

Must be because it's the new type S, the last guy who came up to me was driving a type R civic (old shape), so already would have had an interest in the car!

i live in the suburns of Athens. There are only a few civic's around and in my neibourhood it's the only one!!! So i often have comments about it's design it's price it's hp. But the best comments are coming for the interior look. One young fellow told me in enthusiasm: "it looks like a spaceship inside..."
(i should answer but i didn't: that's why we call it so...)

In the rest of athens i have been asked when in traffic if a had any problems. Other proud civic owners just want to take a look to the ivory interior...

Mmm, one of my next door neighbours asked how much & then said it seems a bit on the expensive side. I pointed out the gadgets that come with the EX & the wheels, leather & glass & he relented a bit.

However, the neighbours on the other side love it to bits, & I always get jealous glances from the rest of our neighbours.

Anyways, I love it to bits & can't help but get a grin smacking me in the face every day I drive it...

This weekend while filling up, the guy there asked me if my Civic model was the Hybrid
I smile and told him that it was the Civic yes, the 8th generation (and diesel) but not the Hybrid that has a totally diferent design and if he actually saw the Hybrid he would see what I was saying

On the first day, a kid in his earky teens shouted "nice car, mate!" and walked off. I smiled.

I have seen a few people walk past our drive, and stop and stare, then carry on again, checking behind them as they walked off. A car even stopped across the drive once, while everyone in it admired the car, the drove off again. I didn't like that too much.

I have also seen faces pressed up against the windows in Sainsbury's car park.

In a courtesy SE diesel, as I was negotiating a a junction on a high street, I got a two-thumbs-up from a guy shouting "niiiiiiiiiice caaaar!".

I'm used to people looking at my second (or is it 1st) car, which is a 37 year old WV Beetle. Other aircooled drivers do the wave thing of course, but get loads of young kids, especially in supermarket car parks, pointing and waving - particularly when I'm putting the shopping in the boot where the engine "should be"!

Hoping to get similar looks for the Type-S when I pick it up on the weekend

Just remembered that a couple of weeks back I was waiting in the Civic for my wife to collect our daughter from the child-minders. When she got in she said that one of the other kids was really switched on cos this 8 year old commented "Cool car!!". Any comments from any younger admirers?

My four year old grandson reckons his grandad has got the coolest car on the planet.

Sometimes when I pick him up frm school he brings along his mates to see this cool car.

Makes me one cool grandad!

Had loads of this but it is stopping now. There are civics everywhere near me now so most people see them all the time. When I first got it had loads of people looking at it in carparks.
I used to have a mk7 celica, I bought it on the day it was released and it was the only one in my town. I couldn't park anywhere without people gathering round the car for the first few weeks. Once it had about 15 people round it at tesco.

I get loads of people looking at mine in car parks, approaching me. Including one very doddery old lady who knew absolutely EVERYTHING about it

"I've researched them on the internet. Really love it".

She was driving a S2K!

Read them?

No, you've got it wrong.
