How to find out the manufacturing date?

Dear all,

Is there any place where the manufacturing date of the civic is written?
I have read that one place might be the label on the seatbelts. However this might not be an accurate indication of when the car was built!
Is there anything else that indicates the build date?

some company's incorporate the date with the serial number

todays date 15 march 2007

would read 70315
1st digit year second digit month third digit day

other company use week number and day say week 52 day 12 would read as 5212 in your serial number

hope this helps

these are mainly used on white goods like washing machines

possibly POD hinting that 'someone' who had (say) access to something useful, such as (maybe) the build records of all the Civics leaving Swindon, 'might' be able to do something like (for example) look up a build date?
