Civic Snob?

I was in Tesco's this afternoon.saw a new civic , but to my horror it had steel wheels and the exhaust ports were blanked off. It was still a head turner BUT when I looked through the eyes of a civic owner I felt a little let down. Why is this ? Have I become a snob?

Exhaust ports were blanked off because it was a 1.4......they don;t have the 'dummy' triangle exhausts of the 1.8 and 2.2 CDTi.....otherwise it's identical.

As for the wheels......wouldn't know, but to me they sound ghastly!!!!!!

Funnily enough, the steel wheels with the dodgy wheel covers aren't issued on the 1.4 engined cars over here in Portugal - they all come with the 16" alloys as standard.......They do however still have the 'dummy' exhaust ports blanked off......

The MPG on those 1.4's is quite impressive you know.....I'm sure they'll still sell quite nicely......
