Paint protection film...

Hey, Iv had my nighthawk black CTS GT, resprayed to remove stone chips..

I'm thinking of having it installed on bumper bonnet and both wings..

1. Anyone had the clear Paint Protection film applied?

2. Can you recommend a place than can do this? and roughly how much I'm expected to pay?.

3. Is it worth doing this?.

Thanks

I was shocked how many chips my civic got on the bonnet and top of the front wings - never had that problem with my old Citroën C4. HHowever, for £280 (can't remember exact figure) autoworx in Beckenham Kent fitted the film and not a mark since on either areas. You can't see it's on there and you can polish it too.

Good idea getting the film put on spotlights seeing how they suffer from cracking.. Unless it's weak glass!!

Very true! They can cover the entire car if you want. They basically select the Honda Civic on their computer and it cuts the pieces out. Now the real trick seems to be with applying it to the car. If you're like me, when I put a screen protector onto say an iPod there is always lots of bubbles - not a hint of one on the car. Interestingly whilst my C4 seemed to have more durable paint it's not just a Honda or Civic thing, quick look around the company cars at work shows that Audi's and BMW's have the same issue. In fact in Autoexpress they are always saying how their Golf is badly chipped.
