Wipers!

Hey guys!

Here a quick question for you - is your drivers side wipe longer than the passenger side and if so which model have you got??

I've got the i-CTDI sport and they are both the same - my dad has got the i-CTDI ES and his is about 2 1/2 inches longer!

I've asked the dealer and he says my sport has the correct wipers on it. My theory is that maybe the rain sensor requires the longer wipers to clear it on the ES?

Cheers

J

EX - 26" drivers and 22.5" passengers. I think your rain sensor theory is correct!

This is another feature of the Civic(and a few other models) that I like . The wipers sweeping to the outside of the screen.

Much better for the passenger, not having to put up with that unswept area to the left of the screen.

I was worried that the wipers were going to cost a fortune because they looked to be one offs. I read the manual the other night and the replacement is by rubber inserts. I haven't seen rubber inserts for years though.........

Agreed, it the sort of thing that will have the ends of your fingers sore for days. I'm sure to get told off by the wife for cursing and swearing!

I had the wipers replaced yesterday, £17 each +VAT. Only one problem, they put two short ones on, so I now have erratic wipers as they are not cleaning the rain sensor. Wouldn't mind but I got them on a drive by in Birmingham, had tried Worcester but they were out of stock, that'll teach me for not using my local dealer.

No, £34 for a pair of wipers. + 17.5% Tax. I have called them to ask them to suggest a way to remedy this, the dealer I went to is 70 miles away, I was passing on my home from the Office the other day, I don't plan on making a special trip just to go and swap wipers.
