Question Replacement Type R dash in Type S

My dash is scratched to blazes - reported to dealer. They are not prepared to replace it under warranty with a Type R dash!!!
How many of you have had this 'swap' done under warranty?
What should I do next??????????

I think their stance is fair enough, thats like me asking them to repair my damaged seats with the Type R seats (my seats are fine, just an example). Warranty work is always going to be a direct replacement. I'd like to be proved wrong, but I can't see it happening.

I can't see why they won't the Type R dash is £2. more in price !! It involves the same work, my dash was replaced with the original and it was scratched when put in (not that bad but still scratched) they are now replacing with Type R dash next week.

I dont agree. The dash is like for like in both shape and cost. The seats are of different design and finish.
