Bye Bye i-vtec
Hello civ members,
I have mixed emotions tonight. Firstly i parted company with my 06 1.8 civic tonight. To cut a long story short, i have not seen it for a few weeks now it has been under investigation by Honda uk and the supplying dealers. (Both are scratching there heads now). However, i drove home tonight in my replacement car, A 2.2 diesel sport(blueish silver) so far i have only drove approx 20 miles so it is too early for me to make comparisons between the two. As this is my first diesel i have to admit i am quite surprised. Lets just hope it is more reliable than the first. Happydays again |

I agree with your comments, However, the engine in my last car did'nt like the revs revs, hence honda and my dealers not having a fix for it. When you spend good pounds on a new car and not living up to expectations it is quite dis-heartening, especially as i know from prev ex what the honda engine is capable of.

So So true! It's what I love about the i-Shift It know how to get the best out of the engine. If your tootling along at 40ish it will be up in 6th, you floor it and it canges down but not to 5th or 4th it will drop down to 3rd! I would never have dreamed of doing that with a Manual box.
