I think your about right at 500 miles ! I can get around 400 out of mine when driving sensibly and cruising in 6th gear

Oooh dear... i feel the deisel owners will surface shortly with their 100+mpg
![]() I've got 1.8 and get around 350 miles (all town, no motorway). If I drive like an undertaker I can achieve 450 miles, I would expect you to get similar sort of figures. |

not being economical (if you know what i mean) i get about 460-470 just as the reserve light comes on in the 2.2 diesel, never risked seeing how far i can get on reserve, i'm not that brave.

Iget 200 million miles from a litre of recycled plastic. Or 400 miles roughly whichever seems more likely

Sounds like you are being doubly hopeful there.
Actually this is something i havent tried....other than look at the range when i brim the tank..which i cant remember what it says now...might be around 500 miles. I will need to conduct a wee experiment to find out, but will probably take a few weeks because i only cover around 100 miles in a normal week. |

After driving to Pembrokshire on Saturday and then Brecon on Sunday averaged about 55mpg on both days. My trip is at 458 miles and computer says 80 miles left so not too bad.
Would like a remap to see if I can boost this a little. £2 per litre isn't too far away I fear.

1.8 i-VTEC ...
Over the last 3 fill-ups, I've averaged some 39 mpg, but the speed limits are very low here ... That's stop \ start, plus some motorway commuting, shopping trip at weekend, etc. ... On long European road trips, I can do a good bit better (45 mpg in Norway), but the lure of Swedish \ Danish \ German motorways is just too much ! (but never dropped below 30 mpg) ... p.s. - for those who want to convert from the European Litres per 100 Km ("E") format to UK MPG ("U") format, or the other way, use this formula ... 282.481 (Constant) / "E" = "U" 282.481 (Constant) / "U" = "E" Hence, my 7.3 Litres per 100 Km becomes 38.7 mpg ... |

Have fun with your trip.
1.8 petrol mostly dual carriageways, i get around 360 from a full tank before the light comes on. i'm hoping to reach 400 with my current tank load |
