Hi steve, the main thing about Nighthawk Black is that it blends with the black surrounds of the windows, particularly with the black 'mask' in the rear window. This gives a bigger look to the body, extending the roof line. Same applies to the front end with the black around the wipers extending the bonnet; and when it's clean and polished it's just magic.

I agree with those sentiments. I also think the Mk2 Civic will have Colour coded bodywork (BG's Ka look) all around the edges. Especially the EX model.

Horses for courses

Reds, Silvers & Blues go best as a contrast with the grey plastic trim, of which there is quite a lot of on the new Civic - the front & rear apron, wheel arch & sill trims. Black not so good with it - appears a bit off key (subjective)

Alabaster & Blueish are probably the most practical when it comes to not showing dust/dirt too much.

Black & Red please the most by responding favourably to 'elbow grease' but are not so practical on a day to day basis, especially black.

In recent surveys, silver and silver tones remain favourites when it comes to resale. At the other end of the spectrum it's yellow & white.

hi Colour coded bodywork all around the edges on the EX model would have been good as i have gone for that model.
But still think the civic in all the colours is first class and without rival in its class.
getting more excited only 7 days to mine

I'm probably in the minority, but I like the contrasting trim around the car. I think it makes it look well balanced

Kindred spirit

Perhaps we are both in the minority Hartside, but like you I think it adds a nice contrast especially in the right body colour - plus its practicallity - much easier to deal with if it gets scuffed etc.
Probably Black & Grey owners would prefer colour coded whereas others prefer the contrast

I voted for Milano Red as this was what I originaly oredered. I have changed my mind regarding the colour of the Civic and have just amended the order to Vivid Blue with colour coded rear spoiler.

Ah, Velocity, that spoiler should look great and set it off well. Don't forget the stainless steel door garnish as well.

allan40alt I like the idea of the garnish, but having already gone for the Leather and Glass Roof I don't think that I will be able to swing this one past the wife.

..look really good. I've got them on my NHBlack; so much better than the plastic door treads.

...with leather...how can you not have them. If you don't you'll regret it every time you open a door

Telboy, my present car is Red but I felt that if I'm changing the car I might as well go for a different colour as well.

I voted for Galaxy Grey since it's the colour of my car. Didn't have much choice from my dealer in January when I ordered it - Galaxy Grey or Black, and I didn't want black due to keeping it clean and the summer heat.

I do like Galaxy Grey though and it's grown on me as time as gone on. It ain't so easy to touch up paintwork scratches though if you end up with any - the touch up paint isn't a very good match I can assure you!!

Time to bump this old polling thread, methinks. Come on Galaxy grey!

No really, only 160 votes and almost a thousand members.
