I'm in love
I thought I'd start a new thread as I didnt want to carry on with the negative vein of the "fuming" thread.
Picked it up yesterday ... I bloody LOVE it already!!!!!! After the monumental **** up with it Honda Bristol came through in the end (although I still havent forgiven them completely). They also gave me a HUGE flower arrangment (it was much to lavish to be described as a bouquet) and a large bottle of champagne! The car was in the showroom with ropes around it looking gorgeous it was close to another blueish EX and the city pack really made it stand out. They'd also fitted chrome locking wheel nuts which are in the price list at £45 not sure if this is a standard thing now as price list is last years. Couple of things.. Is there a way to access your phone numbers without having to add them all manually by voice? I got bored last night after 2. My phone is paired and my bf paired his last night, which will be used if both phones are in the car? I cant get used to a smaller car, my Focus ST was an estate. The civic looks like a dinky toy on the driveway! WHY do people head for you when you're driving a new car? We nearly had a head on through a traffic calming chicane last night the girl coming towards us wasnt stopping for anyone In all I'm chuffed to bits and it was worth waiting for cos the city pack is proper nice...completey pointless (apart from the sensors) and overpriced but lush! Oh and I got £80 plate transfer £1000 city pack (inc mats which were part of the deal anyway) £45 locking wheel nuts £100 spare wheel All free of charge |

In love
I'm delighted for you Obo. You did well with the freebies, but you were due them. I bet you are looking out of your window right now at your new baby. We have all been there. And bedtime reading last night was the manual of course. The more you drive the new Civic the bigger your smile will be. Go out and buy some lemons. Enjoy.

I got the locking wheel nuts included without asking - they mentioned they were thrown in with upgraded alloys. Quote:

Congratulations Obo.
Just in from picking mine up this morning, and I am already well impressed with the mpg (better than my diesel) and performance when I push the shine go faster pedal. Unfortunately as mine is NHB it looks like I'll spend every other day washing it. It's barkit already. Off to fit my Civinfo sticker. |
