Rip Off England

Went to a log cabin 10 miles outside Hull last week for a family holiday and was shocked at the price of fuel down there.

I went to a local garage and filled up with £62 of diesel for my 300 mile journey with the fuel being £1.34 a litre.

When i was driving through Hull most of the garage`s were priced around £1.40 a litre for diesel, it got more pricey the further i went into the countryside with the nearest garage to where i was staying in a small town called Bilton the price was £1.42.

Is this roughly the average price for fuel in England or is it just that part of the country?

Petrol in West London tends to be circa £1.37 at the moment.

I went down to Eastbourne at the weekend and down there I spotted some at circa £1.32

There's an Esso station near Wimborne that always seems to have the lowest prices around. I wonder what their prices are currently?

It's £1.45 at holmrook in cumbria and that's not the most expensive. Its getting ridiculous if you don't live near a supermarket.

We stayed at Westfield lodges in a place called Fitling.

Man they have a cheek even giving that place a name!!!!

There's about 4 houses in the area. And I thought where I stay is the middle of no-where.

I only passed the garage in Bilton on my way to Asda for Magners to drink myself stupid because of the boredom.

It is if you consider fuel prices only 5 years ago. Most of that is tax.
