Angry Two indicator stalks ??????

Our 56 Civic went back to the dealer yesterday to have the indicator stalk replaced under warranty. This is apparently going to solve a nasty squeaking noise when turning the wheel.

Anyway, we picked up the car after work, got in, and drove off. I probably got about a quarter of a mile before noticing something was not quite right with the car.

We now had TWO indicator stalks instead of one and one for the wipers etc.

Unbelievable, it was so obvious when you looked at it, because the writing was upside down !!!! Not suprisingly the car now had no controls for the wipers (the switch can't have been connected to anything).

Turned about and went straight back to the dealers, and exploded

What makes this all the more ridiculous, is they tried to tell us it was carried out by their most qualified technician. I'm so glad they didn't get one of the new boys working on my car

Not sure I want them touching our brakes, they might leave something vital in the the box, like the pads

On the bright side, it is now fixed, and our next service is going to be free, we have been given the spare wheel we were going to buy, and they filled the tank up with diesel (quite handy as it was almost on empty )

So a word of warning. If you venture near Southern Counties in Crawley, check you have all the right bits in the right places

Unfortunately you'd probably leave with the spare for a CRV, in place of your fuel tank

I just can't see how he managed to do that. Why remove the not-faulty wiper switch and then accidentally replace it with the faulty lights switch? And what on earth was he thinking when he tried to plug the 8 pin wiper plug from the car into the 12 pin indicator switch socket?? "They'll never notice..."

I have a feeling he wasn't thinking, at all. Maybe he thinks the Civic is such an advanced car you don't need to actually connect the plugs.

The red mist had decended, and I completely forgot to do it. Wish I had now.

Millie does that.

Went to the stealers about it and they informed me that I had had to much to drink!
