Mike at Bravura speed (possible SCAM warning)

Hi all.....

I offered to post a thread up on here after some strange activity over on the FD2 owners forum.

One member is having some issues getting in touch with parts arriving from Bravura Speed. The parts could be stuck in customs but no invoice has been received yet. After countless email's PM's still no contact has been made back to the member.

With all the above another member (member2) has been in touch with Mike since member 1 has heard nothing, member 1 is only asking for is tracking id etc but getting nothing even when there has been activity on the forum.

I know Mike has had a personal issue so this may have effected contact etc but I thought I would post a thread on the other members behalf asking if anyone has heard anything from Mike.

Im not giving any bad feedback from Mike as I have not used Bravura Speed. Im just simply asking if anyone has recently received any items from Mike or if people are also waiting for parts.

Cheers all.

All dealings I've had with Mike for my BBK and other bits n bobs have arrived safe and sound and contact has been good...but...I think there are a few guys waiting on their seeker fins coming at the moment...

That guy would be me. Mike at Bravuraspeed claimed grille was in the UK a month ago but it still hasnt arrived here. Despite a number of emails requesting some tracking ID or courier details, Mike has ignored me. Rang HM Customs yesterday who assured me that if grille had arrived into the UK, the courier would have already contacted me with any fees due info. Yes, Mike has apparently had some personal issues to deal with. Strange then he's ignored emails for the last 2 weeks about missing parts from myself and at least one other FD2 forum member while taking orders from a third member of the forum as recently as Monday.

There may be some kind of innocent explanation for what's going on (although I can't for the life of me think of one) and if I actually receive the carbon grille I paid for ages ago, I will update everyone. In the meantime, I would advise anyone reading this NOT TO MAKE ANY PAYMENTS TO MIKE AT BRAVURASPEED

Cheers Dave - would appreciate that very much. I'm still hoping that there's some innocent explanation as to why Mike hasn't responded but with each day that passes with no contact and no goods here, it's getting harder to 'look on the bright side'. I'm really mystified as to why he just doesn't seem to want to respond

I ordered a carbon grille and new Honda badge. I paid Mike by direct bank transfer as he requested. Wouldn't have normally paid for goods from overseas in this way but I had read so much positive feedback that I took a chance. Now beginning to regret it...

I think after seeing a few things go wrong with these sorts of companies (Bravura, Touge etc) that import stuff one thing is obvious, SumoPower are by far the best! Ive not imported anything with them yet (only had small bits and bobs) but not one person has a bad word to say about them! even things that have not fitted have been swiftly delt with...

Im not sure if they do the parts the OP is waiting for but thats my 2p

Plus, Caroline is a woman that talks serious shop about cars - result! lol!

I've been called worse lol thanks for the comments Alex..we've been around importing parts from Japan since 2002 i'm an old hand at it now,and as always our parts come direct from my office in Japan to me,I handle all of the customs part etc.

If they had sent something by EMS and you guys had to pay the vat duty and customs charge this end you usually receive a letter within a couple of days of it arriving into the country advising you how to
pay the charges, once paid it's usually delivered the next day -hope this info helps

Hope you guys get your parts sorted soon x

I last heard from Mike on 6th December. When nothing arrived, started emailing him to try and get tracking or customs info from 15th December but heard nothing - zilch. I know he's been online since 15th because he's been on the FD2 forum and been replying to other people. However, interestingly, the people waiting for parts that haven't arrived are those he's ignoring. What a way to try and run a business....
