Survey Results
Interesting results on the surveys, very noticeable on the improvements survey that a lot of things would be considered an improvement, but most things we were not willing to pay extra for, do you think our expectations were/are too high?
I guess you pays your money and takes a choice, we could have probably got these features and more in a German car,for a bit more money or one of the Spanish or Czech versions of a German car for a similar price......... but they just don't have the looks. |

I'm quite surprised at some of the items that have a large "don't care" tag.
I can understand that some items don't affect certain models so the dont care actually means not applicable. The external aerial for one surprised me, I would have thought that better radio reception would have been quite high on most peoples expectations. |

I think that is very dependent on location, I have never had an issue with reception.
Although I was once at one where they only allowed one free drink per person. |

I had to stop somewhere! A few ideas went, because I didn't want people to give in before they got to the Finish button. Hopefully the text box at the end will hold a few gems.

That text box has indeed revealed some good ideas not included.
Perhaps after a while another quick survey including some of the ideas in there? |

I find it interesting that the most common options that people would happily pay more for is to do with the stereo. Are these not things that you could get anyway as an option with the Civic?
As for other things such as a flip key, rear wiper, scratch resistant plastic etc, i think these are things that people would like to have in cars, but maybe for a class of car as a civic, people would maybe expect these as standard? Aside from the fact of whether it has these or not however, i think the majority of people are buying the car for the more essential reason that it is a Civic, and a lot of the possible improvements are more 'icing on the cake' rather than deal makers, which is maybe another reason that we don't want to pay for the improvements. Personally, i would like a lot of these improvements, but i'd be more than happy without! |

I mainly agree - however it would be reasonable to expect to have radio that could reliably pick up and interference free signal and an HFT system that worked in practice. I don't use the HFT in the civic or my Accord because callers can't hear me easily - too much background noise for the mic to cope with on the move
